It snowed all night and this morning I awoke to the morning radio announcer saying “The roads are a mess and schools are closed for the day”. Yippee…. So I took advantage of our Snow Day and reset my alarm for 8:30am, which is when I normally begin teaching for the day 
I did head into work and actually got a lot accomplished. Buster was happy because a snow day meant he could come to school with me.
And on to an exciting announcement….

PAYING IT FORWARD
Well it was that time of year again…time for my first good deed of 2011. I am a regular blood donor (tonight was donation #14) and will not hesitate to give 1 hour of my time to help someone else. I’m not a big fan of being stuck with a needle and having blood drained out of my veins, but that is the least I can do considering there are kids and adults that have no choice but to go through a lot worse. And hopefully if ever I need blood myself, others will have taken their time to do so and it will help me too.
As per information from Canadian Blood Services:
The good news is that one blood donation - in just one hour - can save up to three lives.
So here is your challenge:
1. Head to your local blood clinic to donate.
2. Take a picture at some point during your process.
3. Comment on this blog by telling my readers what you have done to Pay it Forward?
3. Email me the picture with subject line : I gave blood (and the date of your donation)
